I went to NC this past weekend to catch up with my family...and it went way too fast! I love the drive to and from there since it is mostly country and so pretty. I find that driving is so relaxing in the country and I finally have time to catch up on my thoughts and process all that is happening in my life. The radio also makes the drive awesome...nothing quite like cruising down the highway in the middle of nowhere and listening to my favorite song in surround sound! ;-) The hardest part about the whole weekend was sleeping since I am again on nights. I couldn't sleep the night before going and then, I could only sleep till 3am while I was there...I kind of feel jet lagged all the time. We had fun at the beach at Camp Lejeune...very nice beach and LOTS of kids! Military families have lots of children! Beyond that, my brother grilled chicken and had some friends over on Saturday night...was a good time. I got to spend Saturday morning, comfortably ensconced on the couch with my nephew watching our respective shows...and eating goldfish...what could be better?! He was very nice about sharing the goldfish...even when I didn't want to eat anymore ;-). After church, he spent some time trying on my heels ;-)! I spent some time with my sister-in-law when we went shopping...though I didn't find anything I couldn't live without. I also got a chance to catch up with my brother...went on a walk and sat on the back porch for a while. Altogether...it went too fast and I look forward to when I get to go back again sometime soon!
That I grow in my role as a nurse and always do my best.
That I would follow the Lord wholeheartedly.
I'm Carolyn...am so excited to be starting my nursing career in the Navy. Who knows where this all will take me?!
