Thought I would give a short lesson in what SIQ means because today...I am SIQ or sick in quarters (home). Basically, I haven't been feeling so great and couldn't work out today...though I did try to get to PT and that was a failure. Anyway...I got cleaned up, changed out of PT gear, and headed to sick call per my CO's orders. They saw me, prescribed a medication, and sent me home. In the military, when you are ill, you must let those in charge of you know (the chain of command), go to sick call, get a chit (a note) signed giving me permission to go home or be sick in quarters, and then follow orders. So...here I am...safely ensconced in my apartment and still feeling a bit ill...am hoping to be better by tomorrow since I really like working in labor and delivery and that is where I am all week. Yesterday...I got to help with two deliveries!
