The day after the reception, I graduated...and then rushed to the airport. I caught my first flight and then had an extended layover in Newark. My plane kept getting delayed...much to my frustration. I finally arrived in Norfolk and went to bed around 3:30am! I was so exhausted! I'm slowly making up for the sleep I lost in ODS. I got to see my brother this weekend! That was great! I hadn't seen him in 4.5 years...so that was really cool! This week I went apartment hunting and found a lovely place! As you can see from the pictures...I have a lot of work to do. The pizza is a picture of my first meal in my first apartment! Humble beginnings...but I am so thankful. I am thankful that the Lord has been so good to me through all this craziness...and I'm thankful for His peace and work in my life. I honestly have no idea what I would do without Him. I am also very thankful for my family...who have been a great source of encouragement to me. Just when I was feeling a bit down today and overwhelmed with everything...they all contacted me at the same time! God is good...and I am blessed! For the remainder of this weekend, I will be unpacking and enjoying my new place. I'm hoping to see my brother again and go to church. Pray that I find a church soon (one that I can get involved in). Also...major prayer request...pray that God brings me good friends. I will update this later...so many more details to tell you all!
Hey there everyone! I'm in Virginia at last. This is the fourth state I have lived in this year and I think I'm ready to stop moving for a little while. I just wanted to give you all a quick update. I have so much to tell and that will be coming some time in the next few weeks. Here are the basics...I graduated from ODS this past weekend. Had so much fun at the reception...even though it was mandatory fun! ;-) I got to meet the Surgeon General...Vice Admiral Nathan! That was pretty exciting. He is super nice! I had so much fun spending time with my shipmates too...and I actually miss ODS in some strange way! The people I met and got to know...are just great quality people. I felt so inspired and motivated by November Company!

I love this picture of you and John; I don't remember the last time you guys were in a picture together...but this one is very cute!! So glad you found a cute place to live and settle in to. I hope the neighborhood proves to be a good one and you feel like it is YOUR place and that you belong. I have thought about you often and am still praying for some things like good friends and that you would settle in to this new life well. So glad you are blogging about it, it is great to hear current news from you and see pictures. =)
