The rest of this past week was spent in nursing orientation. The funny thing about it was that there were about 35ish people and almost no nurses. There was a nurse Commander who was only there for a few hours of the training. There was one civilian nurse who was there for part of the training...and then, there was me! So it ended up being me and just under 35 corpsman! So funny! I was put in charge at one point..."great...or not!" They were super nice and good to work with...and for that...I am thankful!
The week was a bit frustrating too since communication is lacking. Like I said last week...there are so many things I am required to do and I'm having a hard time keeping everything straight. Things did get better this week since I have a better idea of what I'm doing, but I look forward to when I feel at home there! I did meet a few other Ensigns who are new and are working on the postpartum unit. They were so sweet and I can't wait to be working with them!
Beyond that, both of my Bible studies are going really well and I enjoy them...am meeting some great people! God is so good! I feel totally at home in my apartment and love my living room especially! I've been doing a lot of running this week...which I love! I still need to work on my push-ups...I don't think I will ever love them! ;-)
This coming week is full of more orientation...just one day at a time! I have some plans to do some cooking and even see my brother, sister-in-law, and meet my nephew this coming weekend! So excited about that! In the meantime...I have a very long to-do list!
