After many calls and headaches, I am finally signed up for the NCLEX. I'll be taking it on June 14th in Seattle. For some reason, they didn't have my correct email, so they've been sending all my stuff to an email that didn't exist. I just feel relieved to have a date on the calendar. I've been studying a little bit each day. HURST Review is great...makes studying so much easier. Loving it!
Beyond NCLEX prep, I heard from the Navy this week. I love it when they call me "Ensign!" Anyway, I was originally told that San Diego is where I would be stationed, but I was told a few days ago that my orders are being written for Portsmouth, VA. I was disappointed for all of five seconds and now I'm super excited! I'll only be 3-4 hours away from my brother and his family. Had a good talk with my sister-in-law (LeeAnn) and she told me about life on the East Coast. I'm quite excited to be closer to them and finally meet my nephew. The more I research about the area, the more sure I am that that is where I want to be. It's funny...because originally, it was the last place I wanted to be stationed. I guess that God knew what I needed/wanted before I did. I feel very thankful and excited. I've never lived on the East Coast before and am looking forward to trying something different. :-)
Beyond that, I have been trying to get in shape for training. The push-ups are coming slowly, but it gets better each day. I've been doing a combination of swimming, running, and strength-training (P90X).
Also...the pictures are of the four of us girls from Washington. We were asked to pose for pictures for the alumni magazine (Hilltop News). In some we had to dress up in our Western wear. I think we'll be in the next issue :-)!
